I enjoy our state and will never pass up a chance to spend time with my family on the lake in the summer, on the slopes in the winter, or vacations anytime anywhere. Times with my family are the experiences I treasure.

Experience

I joined Plante Moran because of the opportunity to focus on serving family and closely held businesses, with a focus on serving Manufacturing, Distribution and Transportation companies. Clients appreciate that I’ve specialized in their industries for my entire career. For three decades, I’ve helped business owners and financial executives meet their audit and tax compliance needs, along with strategic planning, growth initiatives, and financial analysis.

Part of my job is to oversee our West Michigan region, which includes offices in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo. We’ve combined as a collective entity to provide business leaders with a wide range of resources and, in turn, to broaden the reputation of Plante Moran as a world-class client service provider. Our staff know me as a partner dedicated to empowering their professional growth. I enjoy the moments when our staff successfully expand their knowledge from theory to real-world applicability.

I’m active in many business and public organizations. As a firm, we’re committed to serving the industries we support and the communities where we live. From an industry standpoint, I’m a member of the American Trucking Associations, the Michigan Trucking Association and a board member of the West Michigan Precision Metalforming Association. These organizations allow me to stay engaged in these industries. I also serve on a few community boards including The Potters House Christian School and Wedgwood Christian Services, along with a number of other community boards for most of my 30 year career.

I have a B.A. in accounting from Ferris State University, and I was the recipient of the Ferris State University Distinguished Alumni Award in 2011.
