As the lead manager for the Ohio governmental audit practice, I specialize in serving clients in the government, higher education, and not-for-profit industries. In addition to performing financial statement audits, I’m one of the firm’s professional standards experts for FASB, GASB, and single audits.
I have a passion for serving clients, and my clients appreciate my proactive communication and deep understanding of accounting standards and technical matters. My goal is to address client issues before they become problems.
I frequently present at board meetings and firm trainings, and I also create technical content for these sessions. Recently, I presented the GASB update for our higher education webinar and presented on GASB 84 at the Ohio Government Finance Officers Association (OGFOA) Annual Conference. I currently serve on the education committee of the OGFOA. Other professional memberships include the Association for Government Accountants, the AICPA, and the Ohio Society of CPAs.
I earned a B.B.A. (summa cum laude) in accounting and finance from Ohio University. As an enthusiastic Bobcat, I’ve been able to give back to my alma mater by serving on the Advisory Council for the School of Accountancy for over 10 years. I also lead my current homeowners’ association as the president of the board.
Outside of client service, my interests include attending concerts, hiking our local metro parks, reading up on history, and lifting weights/running.
