David Steimel

With more than 20 years of accounting experience, I help public and private companies handle complex accounting issues. I have significant expertise in revenue recognition, business combinations, and stock compensation. I’m also experienced in SEC financial reporting, including initial and secondary public offerings, and quarterly and annual financial reporting requirements.

In the 15 years I’ve been with the firm, I’ve discovered a niche I truly enjoy — quality control. It’s rewarding that I’ve carved a career path where I can spend most of my time doing what I’m passionate about, and it shows in my interactions with clients. Colleagues frequently comment on my willingness to help whenever I’m needed — when the phone rings, I pick it up.

I’m a frequent speaker to clients and different groups on technical accounting topics and ethics issues. I enjoy making mundane topics entertaining and easier to understand. I belong to the AICPA and the Colorado Society of CPAs, and I’m an observer on the AICPA Auditing Standards Board. I received my B.S. in accounting from Northern Arizona University.

In my free time, I enjoy coaching both baseball and basketball for my sons. I’m also a tinkerer — I rarely hire out any work that needs to be done around the house.
