As a doctoral-prepared nurse and board-certified informatics expert, I exceed in strategic direction, full-scale implementation and optimization of clinical technology, change management, and the implementation of evidence-based practices. I’m passionate about leveraging technology to improve the patient experience, leading to improved organizational safety, quality, and financial solvency.
My clients appreciate that I have extensive clinical operational healthcare experience and a desire to work collaboratively with client teams for solutions to complex problems. In fact, I’ve spent the past 15 years becoming an expert in the field of informatics, helping clinicians leverage technology to improve care. My greatest accomplishment is obtaining my doctorate degree in nursing.
Colleagues know me for my “can-do” attitude, positive energy, and commitment to excellence. They also know I value relationships with those around me.
With more than 25 years of experience, I’m frequently asked to speak to healthcare professionals regarding informatics strategy, best practices for technology implementation and optimization, and leveraging technology to improve outcomes and patient engagement.
My education includes a B.S. in community health education from Eastern Kentucky University, a B.S. in nursing from the University of Louisville, and a master’s degree in nursing with a focus on informatics as well as a D.N.P. from Walden University. Professionally, I belong to the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, the American Nursing Informatics Association, and the American Medical Informatics Association. I’m an active volunteer for Kensington Church in Lake Orion, and I also contribute to Grace Centers of Hope in Pontiac, St. Jude Children's Hospital, and Almost Home Animal Rescue.
My husband and I are outdoor enthusiasts. We enjoy biking, golfing, fitness walking, and traveling to hiking destinations out west. We’re lucky to have a large immediate family and extended family, and we value the time spent with them.
