As a member of our firm’s national insurance services team, I provide audit, tax, and business consulting services to nonpublic insurance companies, self-insured pooled funds, and governmental organizations. I have extensive experience performing compliance and single audits for our public sector practices, serving as the technical leader in the K-12 public education practice.
The opportunity to work side by side with clients to help them understand accounting and compliance issues drew me to this profession. I enjoy using my expertise to assist in implementing regulations and provide effective solutions. My ability to explain complex issues enables me to put clients and colleagues at ease. One of the things I love about Plante Moran is that it’s encouraged me to explore different service areas and participate in projects outside my comfort zone.
With 10 years of experience, I’ve presented at several national conferences, including the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA) and the Association of Educational Federal Finance Administrators (AEFFA). Additionally, I’ve spoken at events hosted by the Michigan Association of CPAs (MICPA) and state IASA and Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) chapters. I received my B.B.A. in accounting and finance and my M.S. in accounting from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.
