I find great pride in working with owners and architects to design a budget-conscious project that is constructed on time and exceeds the owner’s expectations in terms of quality of construction.

Experience

Jim is an accomplished program manager who has spent more than 38 years in the construction industry. He has a proven track record of producing on-time and on-budget projects that meet or exceed profit projections. He does this by working with the owner and architect to maintain the budget and schedule from planning through construction.

He has extensive experience in coordinating with subcontractors, reviewing documents and drawings, and writing detailed bid packages, which ultimately minimizes project changes and provides the best buy for his clients. When a change is necessary, he will thoroughly review and compare quotes to ensure the client is receiving a fair value for the scope of change. Because of his attention to detail and comprehensive communication, Jim has been successful in developing repeat business with the majority of his clients.

Prior to joining Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, Jim was a project manager at Skanska USA Building, Inc., where he supervised the training and development of multiple project engineers who steadily made their way through the ranks to project manager.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science degree in construction engineering from Lawrence Technological University.
