While some businesses want to grow, others want to consolidate. Regardless of their goals, our clients appreciate that I make a complex world simple by communicating technical concepts in a practical business context. After 31 years at Plante Moran, I’ve been exposed to many dynamic professionals and diverse client service opportunities. We’ve seen significant growth at the firm facilitated by our “we-care” culture and philosophy of putting clients’ needs before firm needs. Our continuity of clients and staff represents a unique culture that’s nationally recognized as a best place to work, focused on long-term success of organizations and individuals. This culture makes it a privilege to bring my energy and enthusiasm every day.
Professional affiliations and community service are an important aspect of my career. I’m a member of the AICPA, Ohio Society of CPAs, Michigan Association of CPAs, and the Puerto Rico CPA Society, as well as the former chair of the Ohio Accountancy Board. My community involvement includes service in the arts, health, and human services; education; and economic development with organizations such as Experience Columbus, the Salvation Army, Bridgeway Academy, and Columbus Music Commission.
Given the business insight gained from our client base, I’m frequently invited to speak at various business and community events. Recently, I was a presenter at the Business First Commercial Developer’s Power Breakfast and the Experience Columbus Annual Meeting.
My education includes a B.A. in economics and management from Albion College, along with completion of the prestigious “Leadership of Professional Service Firms” program at Harvard University.
