I’ve completed 11 marathons and two ultramarathons (50 miles). Running a night ultramarathon in West Virginia was scary, while qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon was proof that persistence pays off.

Experience

As a leader within the firm's healthcare practice, I advise healthcare system executives on strategic reimbursement issues while ensuring that timely and value-added audits are completed. I specialize in audits, hospitals and health systems, healthcare strategy and operations, and reimbursement and payment advisory.

My extensive background covers analysis of revenue and accounts receivable, third-party payor settlement activity, complex investment portfolios, derivative instruments, malpractice liability analysis, and debt issuance and structure review.

My clients appreciate that I use a proactive approach coupled with deep understanding of healthcare trends and financial best practices, which in return helps them grow. In fact, some of my greatest accomplishments with Plante Moran are the numerous healthcare organizations that I’ve helped evolve over the last 20 years. It’s always been important to me that my clients know I truly value their time. My goals are to proactively look out for their interests, respond to questions promptly, meet all deadlines, and ensure there are no surprises.

I often speak to clients, their boards, and at industry conferences about reimbursement, strategies, and the impact of accounting pronouncements. I’ve received a Healthcare Financial Management Association Gold Award for my contributions to the profession. I have a B.A. in accounting and business pre-law from Ohio University.

I enjoy spending my free time with my family and being outdoors, whether that’s playing sports or hanging around our 12 acres. I also have a passion for long distance running.
