Headshot of Linda Yudasz

I played basketball with Bill Laimbeer, former Detroit Pistons center from the Bad Boys era. In high school, I was lucky enough to attend his basketball camp, having no idea he’d show up, let alone run on the court with us!

Experience

I have over 30 years of experience in the real estate, not-for-profit, and governmental industries, providing assurance, tax, and consulting services. I provide innovative solutions for community development and housing organizations, including owner-operators and developers of multifamily and senior rental housing, commercial real estate, and real estate investment funds. With a focus on affordable housing solutions, I’m the firm’s technical expert on low income housing tax credits. I also have significant experience in historic rehabilitation and new markets tax credits.

Owners and developers appreciate the energy I bring to engagements and my sincere passion for helping communities. For me, this isn’t just a career. I give back to organizations, and I’m extremely invested in opportunities to improve the communities of underserved populations. On a personal level, I’m very excited about the revitalization of Detroit — my Detroit ties run deep.

I’m proud to have founded Plante Moran’s housing and community development solutions (HCDS) team, giving us the ability to focus and support the nation’s critical need for sustainable communities and quality affordable housing options for all Americans.

I’m a frequent industry speaker on affordable housing strategies, structures, and compliance requirements. I’m a member of the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition, the Michigan Housing Council, the Midwest Affordable Housing Management Association, the National Council of State Housing Agencies, the Affordable Housing Association of CPAs, the MICPA, and the AICPA. I am also a contributing member in Strength Matters, an organization dedicated to providing nonprofit affordable housing developers with new and unique resources that spotlight financial reporting, access to enterprise capital, and professional development. I have a B.A. in accounting and was summa cum laude from Wayne State University.

I’m a big supporter of work-life balance. I spend a lot of time with family and friends centering on outdoor activities and sports. We welcome the Pistons back to the “D” in the new Little Caesars Arena. You will find me at many games there as the city and the team continue to rebuild.

From watching the Pistons, Lions, and Red Wings, college football and basketball (GO GREEN!), to getting on the lakes in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter, we’re always active. Quiet time for myself is spent with a good book. I am a voracious reader.
