As the director of Plante Moran Cresa’s program management practice, I oversee $2.5 billion in ongoing capital projects and a team of more than 30 staff members. My expertise includes programming and planning, design and construction, procurement and team assembly, and contracts and risk management. I have more than 20 years of experience guiding clients through successful projects in the educational, municipal, industrial, financial, and healthcare industries.
On any project, my goal is always the same: help clients avoid the many pitfalls that arise when a project is not planned and executed properly. I trust that my clients and my colleagues appreciate my open and effective management style, which consistently builds and leads successful project teams. Together we’ve grown from a $3 million to a $25 million organization. I feel fortunate for the small part I’ve played in helping to build what I consider to be the best program management firm in Michigan.
I’m a frequent speaker at local K-12 school board meetings on topics such as bond issues, bid awards, schedules, and budgets. I belong to the American Society of Civil Engineers, and I’m a licensed builder in the state of Michigan. I received my B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Michigan.
Spending time with my family and staying active are very important to me. I enjoy hiking and traveling with my wife and three boys. I’m the president of our local little league, the same one where I played more than 30 years ago. I coach almost every sport my boys play, and most evenings and weekends you can find me on a field or court somewhere.
