Experience

As a partner with Plante Moran Living Forward (PMLF), Jamie oversees the firm’s senior living development planning and finance team. He brings more than 15 years of consulting experience in the senior living and care industry to every client engagement, providing data-driven advice to senior living communities as they plan.

Jamie helps providers look beyond the numbers and draw conclusions to make the best decisions that support future growth. He plays an integral role in the strategic planning and repositioning process, assisting clients through predevelopment to confirm projects are right-sized, financially feasible, and in line with market need and future resident preferences. He has overseen over $800 million in bond offerings and financial feasibility studies.

Jamie has developed proprietary industry benchmarking tools to assess client operations, determine reasonableness of assumptions and debt capacity, track industry trends, and determine project feasibility. By combining a streamlined process with his unbiased perspective, Jamie makes it possible for clients to thoroughly understand the opportunities available to them and confidently determine whether a project is worth pursuing. He also offers clients a tailored, strategic approach to uncover hidden revenue through an analysis of their monthly service fee prices.

For projects that move forward, Jamie sits on the client’s side of the table, helping oversee the entire development team, including the architects and construction managers, to ensure clients’ projects meet their financial expectations and overall mission. His insights drive a more operationally efficient building while also delivering an attractive product for residents.

In the early days of PMLF, Jamie was a key member in the launch of the market feasibility practice — a practice driven by the critical need for senior living providers to be able to identify the unmet demands for senior living housing and services within the communities they serve.

Jamie earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Miami University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Franklin University.
