Tawanesha has a history of delivering projects within established scope, schedule, and budget. She accomplishes this project success through skillful and collaborative coordination between the client, facilities planning and maintenance teams, design and construction professionals, and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining PMC, Tawanesha’s various project roles have included project architect and project manager at Albert Kahn Associates, and most recently, internal design and construction manager, construction project engineer lead, and owner’s representative at the University of Michigan’s Architecture, Engineering, and Construction department. Throughout her career, she’s led projects ranging from $30,000 to $754 million in construction costs, encompassing programming studies, condition assessments, tenant fit-up, renovation, and new construction.
Tawanesha holds a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Architecture, and a Master of Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and a Construction Documents Technologist (CDT) certification from the Construction Specifications Institute. She is an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (Assoc. AIA), a member of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), and the mentorship chair for the Michigan Chapter of Women in Healthcare.
