Experience

As a senior consultant with Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran REIA, Anna supports communities with visioning and formation processes that assist in attending to life in community and mission expression into the future. She enjoys accompanying leadership teams as they envision the big picture and put plans in place for leading their communities through the complexity of the current realities faced by religious communities today.

Anna comes to Plante Moran with 12 years in educational administration at St. Agnes Academy in Houston, Tex, a ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Houston. She oversaw faith formation and mission integration for the community of more than 900 students. Steeped in experience as a leader in a sponsored ministry, she is also a lay Dominican, former chairperson for the Dominican Family of Houston and their delegate to the National Dominican Associate Directors. This uniquely positions Anna to support religious institutes in attending to community life and positioning their ministries for sustainability into the future.

Anna believes that an organization’s mission should be realized and lived at all levels within the community. Her strengths lie in whole-system formation through experiences, ritual and prayer, and intentional reflection that empowers people wherever they are in relation to the charism. Under her leadership at St. Agnes, campus ministry creatively engaged the student body in the Dominican mission by establishing self-sustaining peer ministry and retreat programs, revamping the service program, increasing student participation in liturgy, and establishing a Parent Ministry Committee. Anna bolstered faculty and staff confidence in carrying the charism through intentional on-boarding and renewal, as well as ongoing whole-staff formation rooted in the Dominican mission. She participated in strategic planning and evaluative processes for the community and led the school’s accreditation processes, honing her ability to vision for the future while systematically assessing current practices.

Anna has a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, where she majored in journalism, and a Master of Arts in Theology with a focus in catechetics from the University of Notre Dame.
