Experience

With 17 years in the construction management industry, Brian has the expertise to advise clients on challenges throughout a construction project’s feasibility, design, construction, and owner occupancy phases. Brian is dedicated to ensuring the highest levels of quality while adhering to deadlines, specifications, and budgets.

Brian’s knowledge of project management processes and procedures includes project planning, budgeting and cost control, estimating and bid selection, contract management, schedule development and monitoring, and change management. He leverages this knowledge to proactively adapt to challenges and keep teams focused on the clients’ vision and project success.

At Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, Brian is part of the project management team, overseeing bond and sinking fund programs for several K-12 school districts throughout Michigan. His work focuses on the construction of new facilities, expansions, and renovations to existing facilities as well as updating the infrastructure, parking, athletic facilities, technology, and security in a way that supports districts’ ability to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the K-12 learning environment.

Brian joined Plante Moran Realpoint from DeMaria Building Company, where he oversaw the operations of general contracting and construction management programs on a variety of multimillion-dollar projects. In the past, Brian worked at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company and as Partner at Xcel Construction. Some notable projects include Michigan State University’s Food Processing Innovation Center, University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Natural Science Building, and facility improvement programs at Detroit Medical Center and Henry Ford Hospital’s main campuses.

Brian has a Bachelor of Science degree in construction management from Michigan State University.
