Headshot of Dana Wollschlager

I started drag racing as a hobby 20 years ago thanks to my husband introducing me to the sport. I race a 1968 Camaro convertible in the quarter mile, and my husband is my mechanic and biggest fan.

Experience

As the national senior living development practice leader, I specialize in advising senior living owners and operators on development and operational best practices. This includes strategic planning, market feasibility, financial feasibility, regulatory compliance, project management, construction oversight, and operational efficiencies.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the industry, I’ve overseen the development of more than half a billion dollars in campus repositioning and new construction of senior housing and skilled nursing facilities. My development projects comprise a variety of senior communities in urban and rural settings, including Greenfield new construction, significant campus expansions, and remodeling projects.

I’m humbled by the leadership and remarkable skill sets within our senior living and healthcare practice. The level of talent, industry expertise, and exceptional mentorship at the firm is amazing and has played a significant role in my ability to be successful and serve clients.

I’m often asked to speak to clients, their boards, and at industry conferences, such as Senior Housing News Summit, LeadingAge, Lincoln Healthcare, Senior Living Innovation Forum, and Interface Seniors Housing Conference. I attended the University of Minnesota, and I belong to CREW Chicago.

I enjoy spending time with my family, weekends in Wisconsin, traveling for fun, reading, and crocheting. Although, my favorite interest these days is loving on our grandson, Remi, as well as enjoying the accomplishments tied to raising two amazing daughters.
