Experience
As a senior vice president at Plante Moran Realpoint, Mat brings more than 35 years of experience in construction and program management to clients’ projects. He specializes in large-scale programs across industries, including laboratory facilities, healthcare, and sports venues.
Mat is known for his honest, solutions-driven approach and his ability to build and lead high-performing teams aligned toward a common goal. His clients appreciate his commitment to transparency and his focus on delivering results that reflect their best interests.
Prior to joining the firm, Mat led the Dow Chemical R&D Campus Rejuvenation project at Anova, a $550 million initiative where he served as the owner’s representative.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in construction management from Ferris State University and maintains certifications as a Certified Professional Constructor (AIC), LEED-Accredited Professional (USGBC), and Construction Documents Technologist (CSI). Mat is a member of the American Institute of Constructors and is actively seeking new board opportunities in the Grand Rapids area.
