Megan O’Neal
Senior Project Cost Accountant

Megan is a senior project cost accountant at Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), with over 20 years of accounting experience. In her role, she supports government clients with project financial reporting and forecasting, budget tracking, and cash flow management. Megan serves as a liaison for both internal and external clients, diligently addressing their questions and needs. Through her dedicated support, Megan fosters positive and productive working relationships.

Before joining PMR, Megan served as the controller at A&Z Commercial Roofing in Farmington Hills, Mich. In this role, she was the primary contact for all financial projects and managed a comprehensive range of accounting and operational functions, including regulatory compliance, cost control, internal controls evaluations, and auditing. This extensive experience in financial management and operational oversight has equipped Megan with the skills necessary to excel in her current role at PMR.

Prior to her tenure at A&Z Commercial Roofing, Megan was the purchasing manager for Control-Power Alliance, an electric utility company in Madison Heights, Mich. There, she oversaw purchase orders and materials purchasing and optimized office functions. Her background in procurement and office management strengthens her ability to support clients with budget control, accurate forecasting, and improved financial visibility throughout the project lifecycle.

Megan holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Walsh College of Business Administration and is a certified public notary. She actively participates in several nonprofit organizations, including Faith Works in Rochester, Mich., which focuses on home improvements for those in need; Life Remodeled in Detroit, Mich., which revitalizes neighborhoods; and CureSearch, a national organization funding research for children’s cancer treatments.
