Paula Holt
Consultant, Project Cost Accountant

Experience

As a project cost accountant with Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, Paula leverages her 30 years’ expertise in project accounting to keep clients’ budgets organized and protect against overspending. Paula accomplishes this goal by managing the invoice review, payment coordination, and budget forecasting and reconciliation processes, working in collaboration with clients and project managers every step of the way.

Paula’s known for handling the most complex projects, with multiple funding sources and billing requirements. In her career at Plante Moran Realpoint, she has played a key role in major projects such as the $2 billion Little Caesars Arena and mixed-use development in Detroit, the $3 billion Metropolitan Sewerage District of Greater Cincinnati’s Consent Decree in Ohio, and the $155 million Detroit Medical Center Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

Paula is the co-founder of Metro WBE Associates, Inc., which provides program, project, compliance, construction management, accounting services, technical support, and advisory services. Previously, Paula served as the director of project accounting for Skanska USA.

A native Detroiter, Paula volunteers with several organizations throughout the city to provide food, clothes, and school supplies to those in need. In 1998, Paula established the TeeLOH Youth Program that assists children who lost their parents at an early age. This comes dear to her heart because she raised two children who lost their parents at the ages of one and five years old. In her spare time, she loves to travel, especially to New York to catch a musical on Broadway and for events with her family and friends.

Paula has a Master of Business Administration and Management from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Phoenix.
