As vice president at Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), Veronica serves as in-house legal counsel supporting PMR, Plante Moran Living Forward (PMLF), and Plante Moran Real Estate Investment Advisors (PMRIA). With over 17 years of experience in real estate, governmental funding, and legal compliance, she brings a strategic, solution-oriented mindset to every project.
Veronica’s background includes serving as senior assistant corporation counsel for the City of Detroit, where she focused on municipal legal matters, tax incentives, and the use of federal grant dollars. Prior to that, she worked at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, where she was responsible for managing the state’s economic development initiatives and incentive programs.
She specializes in government and real estate, and her clients appreciate her ability to creatively solve complex challenges as part of a collaborative project team. Veronica is a licensed attorney in both Michigan and Illinois and is a member of both state bar associations. She also serves on the City of Pleasant Ridge Planning Commission and the Pleasant Ridge Downtown Development Authority. Her leadership has been recognized through her selection as a ULI Michigan Larson Center for Leadership Fellow in 2018 and inclusion on Crain’s Detroit’s list of Notable Real Estate Executives in 2021.
Veronica holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hope College and a juris doctor from Michigan State University. She is a frequent speaker on the intersection of tax incentives and municipal governance, having educated public officials and local stakeholders on these topics throughout her career.
