The challenge

Headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, The Taubman Company, LLC, is one of the nation’s leading shopping center developers and managers.

Taubman had doubled its corporate space over the past 20 years. With its existing headquarters lease agreement soon to expire, the company wished to evaluate its options.

The solution

Plante Moran Cresa (PMC) assisted Taubman by performing a market survey and negotiating a new, highly advantageous lease option. PMC also provided project management services for a complete renovation of the company's current facility, with minimal disruptions to the staff's daily activity.

The benefit

With PMC's assistance, Taubman saved $11 million over the existing terms of the lease. The company now enjoys an exceptionally attractive, updated headquarters facility with ample room for anticipated future growth.
