We're happy to announce that last quarter, global aluminum wheel distributor Kosei North America celebrated its relocation to West Chester, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. The company — previously located in Mason, Ohio — moved to into the 48,000-square-foot speculative warehouse building to accommodate growth.
Kosei faced several significant challenges in its attempt to relocate, including a tight industrial market with less than 5% vacancy and an even tighter timeline of less than 150 days to find a space that fit the company's needs and successfully move. As the point person on Plante Moran Cresa's team, I leveraged our resources to assist Kosei in the site selection process and the negotiation with the site's developer, Becknell Industrial.
In addition to the transaction management services I facilitated, Senior Vice President Mark Eckles provided space planning services for the new location, an exercise that helped Kosei understand its interior space needs.
Prior to this engagement, Kosei had worked with Plante Moran's Japanese Business Services group, with Kentaro Isa, Hiro Kishinaka, and their team's business consulting services.
