Experience

As a professional engineer with more than 38 years of experience, Mark leads projects for hospitals, skilled nursing homes, memory care units, senior living, and other healthcare facilities. His expertise includes planning, estimating, budgeting, bidding out vendor services (including services for architecture and construction), and program monitoring.

Mark’s experience managing large-scale design and construction projects is invaluable to clients. Coupling his common-sense approach with Plante Moran Living Forward’s program management process, Mark offers clients tremendous technical background and attention to detail.

Mark has provided program management and owner’s representative services for the design, engineering, and construction of complex projects for healthcare, corporate, municipal, and educational clients throughout his career. He has also worked on master plan projects for numerous large, high-profile healthcare clients and conducted feasibility studies to help modernize healthcare facilities.

Formerly, Mark worked with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) where he handled onsite management of multimillion-dollar construction projects for their largest operational facilities. In that role, he managed a team of engineers and technicians, successfully completing numerous large renovations on time, within budget, and without disruption to operations.

Mark is a professional engineer in civil engineering with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University.
