Experience

As a partner with Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, Paul helps lead over $5 billion in ongoing capital projects while overseeing a team of more than 50 staff members. Paul’s expertise includes programming and planning, design and construction, procurement and team assembly, contracts, and risk management. For nearly 25 years, Paul has guided clients and their capital programs to successful outcomes in the educational, municipal, industrial, financial, and healthcare industries.

On any project, his goal is always the same: help clients avoid the many pitfalls that arise when a project is not planned and implemented properly. Paul’s clients and colleagues appreciate his open and effective management style, which has consistently built and led successful project teams. He is a frequent speaker at K-12 school board meetings on topics such as market conditions, capital planning, and procurement strategy.

Spending time with his family and staying active are very important to Paul. He enjoys traveling, exploring the U.S. with his wife and three boys, and competing in half a dozen races each year. He’s a long-time board member of his local little league, the same one where he played more than 30 years ago.

Paul received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of Michigan. He is a licensed engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) designation, a LEED-Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), and a licensed builder in the state of Michigan. He belongs to the American Society of Civil Engineers.
