Experience

As a principal at Plante Moran Realpoint (PMR), formerly Plante Moran Cresa, Teresa leads the firm’s acute care practice, which serves health systems, hospitals, and integrated physician practices with real estate and comprehensive owner’s representation services, starting from project conception through activation. Teresa’s background has been focused on healthcare institutions, working with clients to understand their needs and develop the right solutions to achieve their goals.

Teresa’s career started in the architectural world but quickly migrated to construction, assisting clients with early project planning, scope alignment, and budgeting to set the path for successful project realization. She works closely with her clients to help balance their many priorities and needs and focus them into cost-effective, timely, and well-planned solutions. These engagements range in size from small fit-out work through multi-phased renovation projects and replacement campuses. Throughout it all, excellent customer service is at the heart of each project to bring a high-level of collaboration and a sense of delight to the full team.

Teresa holds a Master of Architecture, a Master of Engineering in construction management, and a Bachelor of Science in architecture from the University of Michigan. She is a registered architect in Michigan, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and a LEED-accredited professional (LEED AP). Her many volunteer hours are focused around improving healthcare as a board member of Women in Healthcare, Michigan Chapter, and the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM). In 2022, she was honored on Crain’s Detroit Business’s list of the most notable Detroit women in construction, architecture, and design.
