As a partner with Plante Moran’s wealth management practice, Scott is known for helping his clients achieve peace of mind.  From legacy and inheritance to wealth preservation and stewardship, Scott takes the time to identify the issues that create uncertainty or anxiety for his clients  and then helps them manage those issues  through a tailored financial and wealth management plan—one that will accomplish their personal and family goals today, tomorrow, and into the future.


Scott has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, investment consulting, and financial planning serving families, trusts, and institutional clients. He is responsible for the management and oversight of the Grand Rapids office’s Plante Moran Financial Advisors (PMFA) client service team. He is known and has a reputation for his objective, comprehensive, creative, and results-driven solutions to meet client goals and objectives.

Scott is a member of the PMFA investment committee. In addition, he assists individuals and families with the maze of questions and issues that arise after the sale of a closely-held or family-owned business and other liquidity events. He has a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and federally registered CFP (with flame design) in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
