Amy Ciminello-Topalov appointed AHLA leadership position

Partner Amy Ciminello-Topalov has been appointed as a vice chair of the Tax and Finance Practice Group at American Health Law Association.

We’re pleased to announce that Partner Amy Ciminello-Topalov, CPA, has been appointed to serve as a vice chair of the Tax and Finance Practice Group at the American Health Law Association (AHLA), effective July 1, 2026.

AHLA is the nation’s largest nonpartisan educational organization devoted to legal issues in the healthcare field, serving more than 12,000 members nationwide. In this volunteer leadership role, Amy will help shape AHLA’s educational programming and member engagement efforts in the area of tax and finance.

Amy is a tax partner at Plante Moran with more than 18 years of experience. She provides federal, state, and local tax compliance and consulting services, with a focus on the taxation of exempt organizations. She brings extensive experience advising both taxable and tax-exempt organizations, supplemented with a deep expertise in complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and compliance matters affecting healthcare and not-for-profit entities. In her role within Plante Moran’s National Tax Office, Amy focuses on issues impacting exempt organizations and serves as the firm’s healthcare industry tax leader.
