I’m a culinary school dropout, and baking is still a passion. If you have a sweet tooth, we’ll be instant friends!

Experience

I’m responsible for supplier relations analytics, executing the annual Working Relations Index survey and helping OEMs and suppliers become better exchange partners. My approach blends deep technical and corporate experience with academic discipline. By combining anthropology with engineering, I examine existing issues and provide fresh insight.

Prior to joining the firm, I spent more than 30 years in the automotive industry, weaving my career through manufacturing engineering, strategic planning, supply chain, and global purchasing. Over the last decade, I created and led business intelligence teams progressing the use of data analytics for strategic decisions and operations management. I assembled a strong team of data scientists, analysts, and computer engineers to deliver a full spectrum of data capabilities and established a business organization skilled and ready to apply them.

This is my dream job! My Ph.D. research was in the exact discipline of OEM-supplier relationships, and I appreciate the opportunity to align academia and corporate practice to close the gap between theoretical and practical relevance.

I earned my B.S. in aeronautics/astronautics and continued M.S. work in mechanical engineering at Purdue University, received my M.S. in engineering management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and secured my Ph.D. in industrial engineering from Wayne State University. I also became certified as a project management professional.

Frequently invited to present on organizational culture and corporate relationships, I recently traveled to Krakow, Poland to speak at the World Conference on Qualitative Research.

Outside the office, you can find me hiking around the globe, most recently the volcanoes in Quito, Ecuador. I enjoy walking my pups, cooking, DIY, knitting, kayaking, and doing yoga. I also teach a graduate class on research methods.
