As head of the auto dealerships practice, I provide business owners with sound advice on business planning, tax strategy, and acquisitions. I also offer tax planning and consulting to clients in construction and certain professional services.
Plante Moran has a reputation for its open-door policy and its spirit of collaboration. It’s definitely true in East Lansing. Everyone’s door is always open, and I love the teamwork between partners. In the 30 years I’ve been with the firm, I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve developed. I like to think I’ve played a role in bringing some of East Lansing’s most significant clients to the firm and helping them grow in size and profitability.
At speaking engagements, I’m most often talking about taxes. Whether it’s the Michigan Auto Dealership Association event or the AICPA National Auto Dealers Conference, I’m there for my expertise on tax planning, development, and structuring. I received a B.A. in accounting from Central Michigan University.
When I want to take a break from the tax world, I play soccer. I’ve been playing since college and I love the sport. I’ve been lucky to have a career I enjoy and still find time to be a soccer coach for all three of my kids.
