Blake Wieringa
Partner CPAExperience
As an assurance partner, I work closely with organizations in the manufacturing and distribution (“M&D”) industry, overseeing their audit and review reports. Beyond assurance needs, I provide management teams and ownership groups with advice around many types of decisions, including business investments, employee stock ownership plan (“ESOP”) transactions, buy- and sell-side transactions, and succession plans. I primarily work with privately owned, employee-owned, and private equity-owned businesses as well as businesses. I’m a member of the firm’s M&D, automotive, and ESOP leadership teams, and many of my M&D clients are heavily tied to the automotive supply chain.
My clients appreciate that I’m willing to go the extra mile to deliver outstanding client service. They understand that when I challenge them with new ideas and push them to grow, it’s because their business success is as important to me as it is to them.
I earned a B.S. in public accountancy from Calvin University, I belong to the AICPA and MICPA, and I am a member of the national ESOP association. I’ve previously served on the event planning committee for GVSU’s annual Global Trade Center Automotive Supplier Symposium; I’ve also held past board and treasurer positions at my children’s school and church.
With more than 15 years of experience, my greatest accomplishment has been balancing a demanding career with being a present father to my three sons and one daughter, and a devoted husband to my wife, Lindsey. Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf, deer and waterfowl hunting, and watching MSU and Spartan sports. My wife and I love chasing our kids and mixing and enjoying craft cocktails — but not at the same time!
