Brad Bachman
Partner CPAExperience
As a partner with Plante Moran and a leader in the firm's healthcare assurance practice, I provide assurance and advisory services to healthcare and not-for-profit organizations, including hospitals and health systems, physician practices, senior living and continuing care retirement communities, and membership organizations.
With more than 15 years of public accounting experience, I help organizations navigate complex financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and governance challenges. In addition to leading financial statement audits, I have extensive experience serving employee benefit plans, including 401(k), 403(b), and defined benefit pension plans. I also lead compliance engagements for organizations subject to federal funding requirements and Single Audit regulations.
Clients value my collaborative approach and commitment to delivering practical insights that extend beyond the audit. I work closely with executive leadership teams, finance departments, boards, and audit committees to strengthen financial reporting processes, enhance governance, and support informed decision-making.
Since beginning my public accounting career in 2009 and joining Plante Moran in 2012, I’ve built lasting relationships as a trusted advisor to healthcare and not-for-profit organizations throughout the Midwest and across the country. Beyond serving clients, I’m passionate about mentoring professionals, developing future leaders, and fostering a culture of exceptional client service within the firm.
I’m an active member of the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Central Ohio HFMA chapter and participate on the sponsorship committee. Additionally, I contribute to professional development initiatives through HFMA's Central Florida chapter educational committee.
As a frequent speaker on healthcare and accounting topics, I’ve presented at numerous HFMA conferences and educational events on subjects including healthcare financial reporting, regulatory developments, reimbursement trends, and emerging industry issues. I also have the privilege of speaking to students in Miami University's Master of Accountancy program, where I share perspectives on the evolving healthcare landscape, enterprise risk management, and careers in public accounting.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Miami University.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and can often be found on the golf course. I'm also an avid sports fan who closely follows the Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Yankees.
