Experience

I provide enterprise risk management and finance function optimization services to organizations, from upper-middle market to Fortune 500, that are experiencing major transitions. This includes addressing a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, process optimization, and systems and data integration issues.

My background encompasses everything from CFO and controllership responsibilities, internal and external auditing, internal controls, and risk management and merger integration services. Many of my clients are in the private equity, real estate, and manufacturing industries.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career is the opportunity to help clients solve problems and navigate change. I believe there are always alternative ways to solve a problem, no matter how difficult the situation. It’s a philosophy I’ve tried to impart to my team. I enjoy the variety, unpredictability, challenges, and people in professional services. I’ve come to realize that your career isn’t about the destination, it’s who you become on the journey.

Around the office, I’m known for being approachable and having a practical mindset to problem-solving. I’m unfailingly focused on the professional development and growth of those around me. Our team has our clients’ best interests at heart and can be counted on to find effective, creative ways to support them through strategic and operational growth.

With more than 20 years of experience, I belong to the AICPA, Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Michigan Chapter of CPAs, and the Detroit chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. I received a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University and an M.S. in accounting from Grand Valley State University.

In my free time, I’m a big automotive enthusiast and spend the summers at the racetrack refining my skills. I enjoy spending time outdoors mountain biking, hiking, and grilling.
