As a dedicated member of Plante Moran’s Government Accounting Professionals (PMGAP) group, I specialize in providing both permanent and temporary accounting assistance and leadership to various public sector entities. Whether stepping in as a CFO, finance director, budget director, or accountant, my mission is to restore financial stability to challenging environments. Our team excels in navigating compliance requirements, implementing operational best practices, and developing financial forecasts and strategic initiatives.
Our clients, including cities, counties, townships, villages, authorities, and libraries, value our expertise and our ability to deliver solutions on time and within budget. I bring a sense of humor to my work, putting clients at ease while ensuring they have confidence in my reliability.
My areas of expertise include bank reconciliations, budget creation, year-end close and audit preparation, day-to-day accounting, long-term financial forecasts, and utility rate models.
I have had the privilege of speaking to numerous municipal groups across the country on topics such as budget & forecasting, fraud in local government finance, new GASB pronouncements, organizational succession planning, and managing diverse teams. I am a member of the AICPA, Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), Michigan GFOA, Colorado GFOA, Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association. I hold an accounting degree from Michigan State University.
