Headshot of Brian Wiedenhoeft.

For the last eight years, I’ve coached my son’s travel basketball team, which not only has been fun but also extremely rewarding and fulfilling as a parent.

Experience

As the national manufacturing and distribution practice leader, I focus on serving food and beverage and transportation clients to drive value and improve profitability. I also lead my staff in providing high-value, world-class service which enables our firm to continue thriving.

One of the things I enjoy most about working at Plante Moran is the diversity of our clients and colleagues. The family-owned, owner-managed, and private-equity-owned businesses we serve all bring their unique challenges, and each day is different from the last. Clients appreciate my responsiveness and passion for service, not only during tax time but all year long.

My colleagues know me for my positive attitude, strong work ethic and creating — and teaching others how to create — a large, productive referral network. I serve on many of the firm’s leadership committees and I’ve moderated panel discussions on private equity investing in the food and beverage industry at the Capital Roundtable in New York City and at the Food Forum in Chicago.

I was recently selected as a Crain’s Chicago Business Notable Gen X Leader in Accounting, Consulting, and Law for the class of 2022. I'm a member of the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society. I'm a member of AICPA and the Illinois CPA Society.

My alma mater is Indiana University and the Kelley School of Business, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting.
