As a leader in the real estate and construction practice, I play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting for my clients. My focus is primarily on serving general contractors, private equity-owned specialty subcontractors, and commercial and affordable housing real estate developers and owners.
Through expert guidance on financial reporting, risk management, and regulatory adherence, I contribute to the stability and success of these vital sectors, making a tangible impact on both my clients and the broader community.
Clients appreciate that I always take a practical approach to complex topics. I work side by side with clients to find solutions that will meet their needs and comply with all relevant regulatory frameworks. Additionally, I strongly value client service and responsiveness to assist my clients in meeting surprise deadlines without last-minute surprises. At the office, I’m known for playing basketball on a weekly basis and taking trips to the snack bar a few times throughout the day.
I enjoy the fast-paced environment and regular learning opportunities of this career. I also enjoy the client-facing role I get to play, as forming those relationships is my favorite part of the job. I have more than 10 years of experience and consider my greatest accomplishment to be building a successful career in public accounting through maintaining strong client relationships and delivering exceptional service — while always striving to maintain a healthy work-life balance with a large family (four kids and my wife).
I regularly speak to management teams and prospective clients regarding new accounting pronouncement adoption approaches, including how to navigate these potential changes properly, practically, and efficiently. I’m part of the Ohio Society of CPAs, AICPA, and the Central Ohio chapter of the CFMA. I earned my B.A. in accounting from Cedarville University.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending my free time with my family, playing basketball and golf, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy traveling with my family to different destinations.
