Experience
I specialize in providing tax planning, tax compliance, and consulting services to commercial businesses, particularly in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries. My client base includes closely held, ESOP-owned, foreign-owned, and private equity-owned businesses.
Prior to specializing in tax, I spent time in our audit practice. My audit background provides me with a strong foundation for understanding and helping my clients on a broader scale.
Clients appreciate my thorough and timely service focused on supporting their success. I enjoy getting to know my clients’ businesses and helping them solve problems and save taxes.
I received my B.S. in accountancy from Calvin University and am a member of the AICPA and the MICPA. I currently serve on the board of the West Michigan Precision Metalforming Association.
When I’m not in the office or serving clients, I enjoy golfing, traveling, and spending time with family. I’m also treasurer of the Grand Rapids Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and on the worship committee at my church.
