Experience
I specialize in serving private equity-backed and founder-led businesses in the consumer goods and services space, including franchisors, franchisees, and independent multiunit operators. While my foundation is in audit and assurance, my role extends well beyond the financial statement audit. I work closely with management teams, boards, and private equity sponsors to help them navigate complex business challenges, prepare for transactions, improve financial reporting, and build organizations that can scale.
Many of my clients have experienced multiple ownership transitions throughout our relationship — from family-owned businesses considering a sale through second- and third-generation private equity ownership. Being a trusted advisor throughout that journey is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. I enjoy helping clients think through change, evaluate opportunities, and tackle complex issues with practical solutions that support their long-term goals.
My clients appreciate that I take the time to develop a deep understanding of their business. I believe the best advice comes from understanding not only the numbers but also the people, strategy, and operational realities behind them. Whether we're discussing transaction readiness, a technical accounting issue, or a broader business challenge, my goal is to deliver insights that are practical, actionable, and aligned with what matters most to the organization.
With more than 15 years of professional experience, much of that time has been focused on serving private equity-owned and franchise-related businesses. Along the way, I've become passionate about building strong relationships, developing future leaders, and contributing to the growth of our consumer goods and services practice.
I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from Michigan State University and am a member of the AICPA and MICPA.
