Dave Studebaker
Partner CPAExperience
As an assurance partner, I provide financial statement and compliance audits, including Uniform Guidance audits, to nonprofit and healthcare organizations. I help organizations interpret technical accounting guidance and assess how operational changes affect financial reporting, board governance, and education.
Clients appreciate that I take the time to truly understand their organizations and build deep relationships with them. These relationships allow me to identify issues and deliver practical, actionable solutions. I’m committed to creating a smooth, low-stress audit experience for my clients, helping balance the complexity of their missions with the resources they have available.
With more than two decades in this profession, I’m especially proud of my experiences teaching, learning from, and mentoring colleagues, as well as celebrating the accomplishments of my clients. Their successes fuel my passion for what I do. Around the office, whether it’s digging into a tricky technical question or offering practical guidance for complex situations, I’m known for always being available to help. I make it a point to keep the office a fun and supportive environment because I believe people grow best when they feel both challenged yet comfortable.
I’m a member of the AICPA and the Colorado Society of CPAs. I also serve on the Finance Committee of the Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute, the Community College of Denver Accounting Advisory Board, and I’m a past board chair of Worklife Partnership. I hold a B.B.A. in accountancy and sociology from the University of Notre Dame, and an M.S. in accounting from Northeastern University. I’m often invited to speak at industry conferences, such as regional Healthcare Financial Managers Associations, on topics of current interest to leaders relating to accounting standards, financial reporting, and operational accounting best practices.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys, being active, and watching all the sports teams we root for.
