I’m an assurance partner with Plante Moran’s manufacturing and distribution practice. My client base includes mostly manufacturing and distribution companies ranging from $10 million to $700 million in annual sales. I also assist clients with their employee benefit plan audits.
As the office managing partner of our Flint office, colleagues know me for taking the time to talk and help them with any issues they might be having. One of my favorite things about Plante Moran is our “we care” philosophy. It isn’t just a saying — we practice what we preach.
I joined the firm over 20 years ago as an intern. One of my biggest accomplishments has been winning an internal award for embodying the Plante Moran spirit. It was a tremendous honor to be nominated and to be recognized for something that I try to do every day when dealing with clients, my team, and our greater community.
Because of my expertise on accounting and reporting matters related to employee benefit plans, I’ve spoken at the AICPA National Employee Benefit Plan Conference on a number of topics. I’ve also been a panelist at the Michigan CPA Benefit Plan Conference. I belong to the Michigan Association of CPAs and the AICPA, where I've participated on the Employee Benefit Plan Expert Panel. I’m also an active member in Women in Manufacturing. I received my B.S. in accounting from Eastern Michigan University.
I have a blended family that includes five children, so currently my free time and hobbies are spent with my husband and kids. One of my favorite times of the day is sitting down at the dinner table together. When my husband and I can get away, we love visiting Lake Michigan beach towns.
