As the firmwide technical leader of the employee benefit plan audit practice, I provide staff and clients with guidance on new and proposed professional standards as well as research on the application of accounting and auditing standards that impact employee benefit plan audits. My expertise includes audits, reporting, and disclosure issues surrounding all types of plans.
My clients and colleagues appreciate my technical expertise and practical solutions. I’m proud to be known for my collaborative approach when resolving technical matters with engagement teams and clients.
With more than 15 years of experience, I’m often asked to speak to clients at industry trainings, such as the local Michigan CPA Benefit Plan Conference, regarding current accounting and auditing topics and upcoming standards and their impact to benefit plan financial statements. I’ve also spoken at the AICPA National Employee Benefit Plan Conference. I belong to the AICPA and the Michigan Association of CPAs. I received my B.S. in business administration from Northwood University. In my community, I’m involved with my local church.
I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it’s hanging out or playing board games. I also enjoy reading and trying my hand at different projects that I find on Pinterest.
