I love watching home improvement shows as they provide me ideas for my next home improvement project. My current home improvement project is a complete remodeling of the sun room at our cabin.

Experience

As the leader of Plante Moran’s employee benefit plan audit practice, I oversee more than 1,500 benefit plans annually, including 11-K financial statements, 403(b) audits, defined contribution and benefit plans, health and welfare plans and multi-employer plans.

Prior to my current role, I was the firmwide technical leader of the employee benefit plan audit practice, providing staff and clients with guidance on new and proposed professional standards as well as research on the application of accounting and auditing standards that impact employee benefit plan audits.

With more than 20 years of experience, I’m often asked to speak at national and local employee benefit plan conferences. I’m a member of AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, Executive Committee.  I belong to the AICPA and the Michigan Association of CPAs. I received my B.S. in business administration from Northwood University.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it’s hanging out at home or traveling.
