Prior to studying accounting, I contemplated four different majors in college, including medicine, pharmacy, journalism, and history.

Experience

I collaborate with business owners and leaders to ensure accounting and assurance matters are appropriately addressed. Many of my clients are large owner-managed and private equity-owned service industry organizations, especially those in the consumer goods and services vertical. This includes franchisors, multiunit and multistate restaurants and retailers, and sports and entertainment. I also help them implement and understand new accounting pronouncements.

I love the flexibility and variety of the work I do and the ability to help people in my own unique way. The endless variety of projects keeps me energized and focused. My clients appreciate my responsiveness, practicality, and personal touch. Around the office, I’m known for offering practical advice and always being available to support and guide my teams and colleagues. I’m grateful to be part of a firm that promotes a healthy work-life balance and empowers parents to excel in the office and at home.

My greatest accomplishments in my decade-plus of public accounting experience include helping to grow the firm’s consumer goods and services practice, the strong relationships I’ve developed with clients and colleagues, and the ability to advance my career while having three young children.

I’m often asked to speak to clients, their boards, and other stakeholders about new accounting pronouncements and financial reporting issues. I’m a member of the AICPA and the MICPA. Internally, as a member of the firm’s professional standards/technical team, I present and develop accounting technical training content for staff. I have a B.B.A. in accounting and finance from the University of Michigan-Dearborn.

Most of my free time is spent with my wife and kids. When I’m able to sneak away from home and the office, I enjoy playing golf and exercising.
