I enjoy reading about nutrition, and bet I’m one of the only partners at the firm who eats a predominantly vegetarian diet. Although, it’s hard for me to turn down my father-in-laws’ famous (in our family) BBQ ribs.

I specialize in valuation services related to transactions. My team and I often get involved pre-LOI to help clients assess potential normalization adjustments and preliminary value ranges. When the client is successful in acquiring the target company, we help with the financial reporting valuations needed for their opening balance sheet. If the opening balance sheet projects require equipment and real estate appraisals, I work with tangible asset experts to help with those components of the analysis and consolidate their results with the intangible asset values that my team and I develop.

As the firm’s healthcare valuation practice leader, I work with many hospitals and health systems, physician practices, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, home health agencies, dialysis centers, senior care facilities, and more. My team and I also provide consulting and valuation services to many retail, business services, professional services, manufacturing, and automotive clients.

I love learning and growing my skills every day. When faced with a unique valuation assignment, I enjoy diving into research mode and learning as much as I can about the nuances of the target company and its industry niche. My colleagues count on me to identify and understand the key drivers that will influence the valuation. There are many reimbursement and compliance considerations that influence healthcare specific transactions and, with my practical expertise, I guide clients toward successful outcomes.

Because of my deep industry knowledge, I’ve been asked to speak at industry conferences and to niche service groups about healthcare. I’m a member of the American Society of Appraisers, and I’ve earned its designation as an accredited senior appraiser. I also belong to the Medical Group Management Association and the Healthcare Financial Management Association. I received a B.B.A in finance from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business.
