Experience
As director of the firm’s tax operations and innovation group, I lead firmwide efforts to modernize how our tax practice works. My team and I design the tools, processes, and insights that power our internal tax function, and we bring that same approach to clients through our tax technology and operations service line. I also serve as the tax department’s AI ambassador, and I’m a member of the tax services ecosystem leadership team.
I specialize in helping organizations rethink how their tax work gets done. Working with companies that have complex, multientity tax functions, I help design modern operating models through tax technology strategy and implementation, tax process and workflow redesign, operational reporting, tax department transformation, managed services and AI readiness and adoption. Our clients come from diverse sectors, including family offices, multinational manufacturing and distribution companies, real estate and construction organizations, and investment funds. Because my team runs the same kind of tax operation that we help our clients build, our advice is grounded in what actually works, not just what looks good on paper.
Clients appreciate my ability to translate emerging technologies, including AI, into practical decisions their teams can act on with confidence. With more than a decade in the tax profession, I’m especially proud of helping build the firm’s tax operations and innovation team, and of launching our tax technology and operations services. Together, we’re creating more capacity for our people to focus on meaningful work, delivering better outcomes for our clients. Around the office, colleagues know me for staying calm in complex situations, thinking a few steps ahead, and helping teams move forward — even when the path isn’t fully defined.
I hold a B.S. and a Master of Accounting from Eastern Michigan University, and I’m a member of the AICPA and the Michigan Association of CPAs. I regularly attend industry conferences, such as AICPA ENGAGE, CCH Connections, and Thomson Reuters Synergy, where I spend time discussing how tax work is evolving with clients, technology providers, and firm leaders. These conversations often focus on redesigning tax processes, preparing teams for thoughtful AI adoption, and building the systems needed to manage work and measure results. I bring these insights back to help shape how we operate and how we serve our clients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends by hosting game nights, baking pizzas, or cooling off in the pool during a Michigan summer. I’m also a lifelong Detroit Pistons fan.
