During my internship, I contracted chicken pox. Although I received unusual glances and comments, the experience taught me not to worry about my appearance; my expertise in accounting can outweigh any embarrassing situation.

Experience

My clients in the metals sector rely on my technical expertise in accounting and tax matters, and my colleagues regularly seek my advice on their most complex engagements. Although I specialize in the manufacturing and distribution industry, I’m also an engagement partner in higher education with a focus on private institutions, and I advise private equity groups who are focused on the automotive industry.

I’m passionate about bringing creative solutions to all of my clients, regardless of their industry. We consider it a team win when our persistent preparation to land new accounts pays off. With my boundless energy, I can devote hours to merger planning and analysis, succession planning (including buy- or sale-side accounting and tax considerations), tax analysis, and business planning for corporations, partnerships, and shareholders. Around the office, I challenge my colleagues to offer world-class client service, but I also strive to keep the mood relaxed while we keep our eyes on our clients’ concerns.

My goal is to pass what I’ve learned on to the next person down the road, so I’m always mentoring staff. I also serve as an impact team leader in the firm’s largest office in Southfield, Mich., where I’m responsible for managing 60+ staff and partners serving clients nationally. Away from work, you can find me playing or watching sports. I enjoy golf and softball.

I’m a member of the AICPA, the MICPA, and the Metals Service Center Institute. I have a B.A. in accounting from Michigan State University.
