As a leader on our healthcare consulting team, I oversee the operational performance solutions in the acute healthcare space. I specialize in improving care delivery, patient flow, and efficiency in places where patients are at their most vulnerable, such as hospital emergency rooms and operating rooms.
I joined Plante Moran in 2017 after many years of working in a hospital environment as a quality and process improvement leader. As a trained and experienced professional in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, I was the architect of a unique healthcare-focused method of process improvement that incorporates both clinical best practices and addresses culture challenges unique to the patient care environment. This method is called CLEAR© and can be used to transform specific areas of care or an entire healthcare organization.
I enjoy working with all levels of the organization, and recognize that true sustained change often comes from engagement of front line team members. My team is dedicated to connecting and coaching improvement teams that are tackling difficult, multi-disciplinary operational issues. Our clients respect the focus we have on taking complex workflow challenges and distilling them into manageable, bite-sized action items.
I am a regular speaker at various conferences and meetings such as OR Business Manager and HFMA on a variety of topics around healthcare operations improvement. I have a bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University in biology/chemistry/human physiology and an M.B.A. candidate at Walsh College of Business. I’m a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, a GE Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and a GE Certified Master Change Agent. As a supporter of the community, I’m also active with HAVEN of Oakland County, Cass Community Social Services in Detroit, and the Redford Brightmoor Initiative.
