January 12, 2016 / 1 min read

Traverse City, Michigan – Plante Moran, one of the nation’s largest certified public accounting and business advisory firms, has announced BJ Wolff has been named office managing partner for the firm’s Traverse City location.

Wolff replaces Mike Baker, who after serving as Traverse City’s office managing partner for nearly 10 years, will now further his focus on growing the firm’s healthcare practice.

As office managing partner, Wolff will work on developing the Traverse City staff as well as community involvement. He will also continue to serve as an assurance partner working with manufacturing and distribution, service and construction companies in Northern Michigan.

“I have no doubt that BJ will excel at leading the firm’s Traverse City office,” Baker said. “In addition to being a great motivator, he’s spent more than 20 years with the firm and has great relationships with staff and clients.”

Wolff joined Plante Moran in 1993. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, Northwest Michigan Industrial Association and Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce. He received a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University. Active in the community, Wolff has served on many nonprofit boards including Boy Scouts of America and is a past member of Rotary.

Wolf currently resides in Traverse City.
