Southfield, Mich. — Kellie Becker, a partner in Plante Moran’s Macomb office, has been named to Crain’s Detroit Business’s “40 Under 40,” which recognizes 40 young achievers in the community based on factors such as financial impact and leadership.

With more than 16 years of experience in outbound operations, inbound services and global transaction planning, Becker is the firmwide leader of the tax services portion of the firm’s $60 million international group. She handles business tax planning and compliance for a variety of corporations globally in the manufacturing, service and real estate and construction industries.

“It’s an honor to receive this designation and a reflection of my passion for my firm and my industry,” Becker said. “It’s a privilege to be a part of a firm like Plante Moran that encourages an entrepreneurial spirit while providing superior client service.”

Becker led the formation of Plante Moran’s International Concierge Desk, a one-stop location for international audit, tax and consulting needs for the firm’s clients. As a further testament to her skills, she was asked to serve as deputy chair of the Praxity North American Tax and Fiscal Group only six months after assuming her firmwide leadership role. Praxity is an alliance of independent accountancy, tax, and business consulting firms with a presence in 103 countries worldwide.

Becker has previously spoken at Praxity’s International Conference as well as other internal and external events. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants. She holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Becker resides in Shelby Township with her husband and two children.
