I’ve ridden the Colorado 500 Invitational Charity ride twice. The Colorado 500 is a five-day, off-road motorcycle ride through the mountains that raises money to keep trails open, and it provides an incredible way to see Colorado with old and new friends.

Experience

As the group managing partner of our Colorado and Ohio offices, I help oversee our leadership and bring people together on a shared journey across our different regions. I rely on my growth-focused mindset and positive outlook as I create and guide opportunities for our staff’s professional fulfillment and our firm’s growth and strategic initiatives.

Prior to my role on the management team, I was the firm’s real estate and construction industry group leader working primarily with general contractors and heavy civil contractors.

I’ve always been intrigued with business and, when I learned CPAs are most often businesses’ trusted advisors, I knew that is what I wanted to — and the career I started on in 1998 has been far more rewarding than I ever imagined. Looking back, I’m proud of the construction practice we’ve built across the firm. When we first made construction a focused practice, we didn’t have a lot of construction clients. Fast-forward to today, and we’re a national construction brand and have been recognized for many years as a top 10 construction CPA, consulting, and wealth management firm.

I belong to the Construction Financial Management Association and Associated General Contractors and, in the past, I’ve served on their respective boards. Additionally, I’ve served on the boards of Colorado Youth Outdoors, Unify for Youth (an organization I co-founded and where I was honored as a Hall of Fame honoree) and Partners Mentoring Youth. I remain active in supporting these great organizations focused on supporting children and young adults through mentorship, relationship building, outdoors and financial support of programs and scholarships. I have a bachelor’s degree in public accounting from Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University).

I spend my free time with family and friends. I enjoy fishing, motorcycle riding, drag racing, scuba diving, and other outdoor sports.
