I majored in French horn performance at CCU in the late ‘90s and still play the French horn and cello to this day. I’ve played in several community orchestras and even with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra on occasion.

Experience

As a leader on the managed IT team in management consulting, I collaborate with our team staff and clients. Additionally, I manage the team’s budget, realization, utilization, and more. I work with our team and clients to manage technical projects from start to finish, including scoping, establishing milestones and timelines, delegating tasks to team resources, and completing technical work.

I participate in practice development efforts, including internal marketing across other services of the firm; external marketing to pursue new clients; opportunities for cross-selling and cross-serving with other teams; and expanding services with existing clients.

Our team works with any industry, but we do have some focus and specialization in financial services, manufacturing, construction, healthcare, nonprofit, and private equity. We have approximately 50 recurring clients for whom we provide day-to-day outsourced IT support, ranging in size from five users up to 500. We have clients that we work with only on technical projects or escalated support from their internal IT staff as needed.

Clients appreciate that I’m easygoing, caring, flexible, and an active listener who will always consider what’s best for them. At work, I’m known for being available and willing to assist with questions and needs, showing care and attention to colleagues’ careers and professional growth, and being easygoing and fun to work with in any situation.

I’ve always enjoyed working in IT because of the fast pace in which it progresses and the constant learning and adapting it requires. I enjoy building and implementing solutions to help clients be more productive and efficient with technology. I have more than 25 years’ experience in the world of IT.

I attended Colorado Christian University from 1996 to 1998, majoring in music performance with a minor in music education. I’m currently enrolled at Colorado State University Global, working to complete a bachelor’s in information technology. I hold the following technical certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA IT Operations Specialist.

I’ve spoken at internal firm events for management consulting. I’ve been involved with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) at different times throughout the years.

Outside of the office, I enjoy playing and listening to music, watching movies, playing golf and yard and home improvement. I spend my free time with my wife of 25 years and our three boys. They’re all very busy!
