Experience
As the leader of the Grand Rapids community tax practice, I provide tax services to a variety of clients, including individuals, trusts, and closely held companies. Most of my clients are part of the agribusiness, oil and gas, real estate, and wealth management industries.
I provide them with tax ideas and compliance services, and am always willing to discuss current tax issues of concern with them. My colleagues know me as the go-to person for both agribusiness and oil and gas questions.
I was attracted to this career because I took an accounting class my senior year of high school; I didn’t want to take calculus and figured it was a good substitute for math. I discovered that I really liked it. I now have more than 35 years of experience, including nearly 10 years of audit experience.
I’m a member of the AICPA and the MICPA, and I received my B.S. in business administration (accounting/business dual major and computer information systems major) from Aquinas College.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy snowmobiling, boating, traveling, and spending time with my family.
