Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, golfing, boating, and traveling. Most people don’t realize I love to cook, and my specialty is artisanal bacon.

Experience

As a partner with the international tax services practice, I provide multinational and internationally active clients with creative and technically sound solutions for minimizing their global tax liability. I also assist them with regulatory compliance both domestically and in foreign jurisdictions.

I have expertise in international mergers and acquisitions, cross-border withholding, IC-DISC export incentives, tax considerations for international real estate, and other international tax issues. With more than 17 years of experience in the international tax arena, my clients appreciate that I offer them practical guidance and am always available to answer any questions they have.

I was attracted to international tax due to the complex nature of the work. Working for Plante Moran, I’m able to make connections with colleagues all over the world and continue to provide excellent client service.

I’m frequently invited to national and international industry groups to discuss international tax technical matters. Recently, I presented at the Praxity North American Tax Conference on cross-border withholding, to the Quebec Transportation Association on tax considerations for U.S./Canada cross-border trucking activities, to the Michigan Association of CPAs on tax withholding for cross-border transactions, and at a Strafford CPE seminar on “IC-DISC Strategies: Mastering the Complex Operational Challenges.” I have a B.B.A. and a master’s degree in accounting from University of Notre Dame.
